Jennifer Everhart joined Cinnaire in 1997 and has more than 30 years of experience in affordable housing, community development and technical assistance to nonprofit organizations.
Jennifer is Chief Impact Officer (CIO), overseeing overall strategic and operational responsibility for ensuring an integrated approach to Cinnaire’s community impact efforts. She cultivates relationships in the nonprofit and public sectors to inform and maximize the use of Cinnaire’s community development resources. She also oversees activities for seeking and securing funds for Cinnaire’s community development agenda and for identifying private, public, local, and national funding partners. Prior to this position, Jennifer served as Executive Vice President for Underwriting and Credit Risk from origination through portfolio management and servicing, overseeing the underwriting of Cinnaire’s LIHTC investments. During her time at Cinnaire she has led the underwriting and investment of over $4 billion of equity and loans that Cinnaire has poured into community development projects, especially affordable housing developments in its multi-state footprint comprised of Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania.
Prior to joining Cinnaire, Jennifer administered technical assistance programs to nonprofit housing development corporations and local units of government at the Michigan State Housing Development Authority. Before moving to Lansing, Jennifer worked in Detroit for a community development corporation, where she helped package applications for low-income housing tax credit financed developments, and at a nonprofit senior center which served the needs of low-income seniors.
Jennifer earned her B.S. in Finance from Oakland University and completed a post graduate internship at Pratt Center for Community Development.
