Our plan is to form small groups that will read the books Speed of Trust, Zapp! The Lightning of Empowerment and Crucial Conversations together and meet regularly to discuss what we learned, what resonates for us, and how we’ll incorporate these things into our daily work and personal lives.

Participating in these groups is beneficial in so many ways, not the least of which are the relationships that form when people come together on a professional level to discuss what they are learning and how it affects them personally. These groups are not limited to new people; in fact, we are hoping some “old pros” will enhance our groups with their experiences and wisdom. The best part is that it is easy to be a part of: The meetings are scheduled during lunch, they are an hour and a half, and we’ll break the book down into 5 sections. Everyone takes turns leading meetings, so it’s not a burden on any one person.

We already have a group in session, and we’ve started a waiting list for the next group which will start in late September. For now, we are focusing on the Speed of Trust. As this initiative takes grows, we anticipate branching out to the other books in early 2020. Further, our vision includes Book Club participants blossoming into Book Club Leaders. This will help us broaden our efforts.
