Cinnaire recently announced that River Crest Apartments in Detroit, MI, has received the Renovated Community of the Year PRISM Award.
River Crest Apartments provides 161 safe, affordable apartment homes near Detroit’s Gold Coast, Indian Village and East Village historic neighborhoods. Prior to the $24M renovation the apartment community was one of the most problematic buildings in Detroit’s history. The substantial renovations have revitalized the community while preserving one of Detroit’s historic buildings. Development and finance partners include Cinnaire, Chesapeake Community Advisors, Inc., Building Blocks Non-Profit, the City of Detroit, the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA), Continental Management, Huntington National Bank, and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis (FHLBI).
Presented by the Detroit Metropolitan Apartment Association (DMAA), the PRISM Awards recognize the evolution of the Property Management Industry into a multi-faceted professional entity. The awards goal is to recognize members who strive to become the best not only in exterior qualities, but who go above and beyond as neighbors in their communities and providers of service to residents. River Crest was selected as the Renovated Community of the Year, receiving recognition for revitalizing one of Detroit’s most problematic buildings and providing excellent customer service to residents during the construction period.
“River Crest Apartments has revitalized the Villages neighborhood in Detroit,” said Dennis Quinn, Cinnaire Senior Vice President. “The commitment of the development and finance team has provided Detroit residents with a safe, affordable community to call home. Continental Management’s care and compassion for the residents exemplify the best of property management services. Cinnaire wishes to thank the Detroit Metropolitan Apartment Association for honoring River Crest as the Renovated Community of the Year.”
