Junior Business Development Associate

Job Summary: The Junior Business Development Associate (JBDA) assists in the development and execution of Cinnaire’s business development strategy within a defined geographic area. The JBDA develops and maintains knowledge of local real estate market dynamics and policies impacting affordable multifamily housing development, researches and assists in the identification of business opportunities, and supports the Business Development Associate (BDA) and SVP Business Development (SVPBD) in responding to business proposals, securing signed commitments from customers, supporting customer needs, and maintaining customer relationships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Draft and provide support letters for funding applications, including but not limited to: Short Form Equity Letters of Intent (LOI) Construction / Bridge Loan Term Sheets, and Permanent Loan Term Sheets
  2. Provide Investor Pitch Summaries to Capital Raising to provide to Investors. This includes several data points about the deal, narratives, renderings, and deal information prepared efficiently and accurately on Cinnaire branded documents.
  3. Request and receive all necessary information from developers to obtain Lending Term Sheets from both Cinnaire Lending and CPC Mortgage Company
  4. Perform all Spark updates for equity and lending deals in their geography.
  5. Manage and organize documents for all incoming lending and equity deals in their geography.
  6. Manage equity and lending pipeline and status including LIHTC funding cycles and awards.
  7. Attend industry conferences and interface with developers as needed.
  8. Prepare documentation for customer meetings and assist with follow-up.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Professional work experience preferred, with preference for real estate or sales/customer management experience.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, Word, Power point etc.) required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong detail orientation, and analytical and organizational skills.

Reporting Relationship: Reports to SVP, Business Development

Supervisory Relationship: None

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time.

Travel Required: 20%
