8th Annual Haven House Pancake Palooza

Cinnaire CEO Mark McDaniel Serves Up Pancakes to Support Homeless Families

The 8th annual Haven House Pancake Palooza will be held virtually via zoom on February 12th at 9:00 a.m. Cinnaire CEO Mark McDaniel will join his fellow star servers Yvette Collins, Whitney Anderson-Harrell, Jeff Monroe, Sister Pat Newhouse, Jim Patterson, and Terry Stevens for a friendly competition to see who can raise the most funds to support Haven House. The all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast features silly stunts and extreme fun all to support homeless families as they work to get back on their feet.

Haven House provides emergency housing and support services for families with children. The shelter helps families who are homeless prepare for permanent housing by developing and promoting self-sufficiency, stability, and financial responsibility. In addition to housing, residents receive meals, crisis counseling, assistance with goal setting, and referrals to other agencies as needed. For every $1,000 donated, Haven House is able to provide housing and services to one family.

Cinnaire is guided by our organization’s Why statement – we have an unwavering belief that all people deserve the opportunities provided by living in healthy communities. Haven House provides a self-healing community that helps keep families together and reduces trauma for children, a cause important to our mission. Homelessness in childhood is considered an Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE). ACE’s have proven to have negative effects on children throughout their lives in important areas like life expectancy, employment, education, addiction, poverty, and crime. Removing the potential for any ACE experience, like homelessness, can provide a long term positive impact on children’s lives.
