The Meadows
Darlington, Wisconsin
Darlington is a farming community in Wisconsin’s southwest driftless region. The Meadows was specifically developed to address the community’s housing needs by supporting dairy farms and other agricultural industries. The 2- & 3-bedroom townhomes were completed in 2022 and are exclusively available to agricultural workers and farmworkers and their families. The Meadows is a collaboration with local partner Southwestern Wisconsin Community Action Program, Inc (SWCAP), a longstanding service provider in the community. Funding was provided by WHEDA, Cinnaire, USDA Rural Development, the State of WI HOME program, The Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago, and United Migrant Opportunity Services (UMOS).
The Meadows is a $9 million new construction development offering 32 affordable residential units.
