Quinetta Roberson serves on Cinnaire’s Board of Directors.
Dr. Roberson is the John A. Hannah Distinguished Professor of Management and Psychology at Michigan State University. Prior to her current position, she was an Endowed Chair at Villanova University and a tenured professor at Cornell University. She has also been a visiting scholar at universities on every continent, except for Antarctica. Professor Roberson earned her Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from the University of Maryland. She holds a B.S. from the University of Delaware in Finance and Accounting and an M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh in Finance and Strategic Planning.Â
Professor Roberson has over 20 years of experience teaching courses and workshops globally on diversity, leadership, and talent management. She has published over 40 scholarly journal articles and book chapters and edited a Handbook of Diversity in the Workplace published by Oxford Press in 2013. Her research interests center on developing organizational capability and enhancing effectiveness through the strategic management of people, particularly diverse work teams.Â
To translate her research into action, Dr. Roberson provides professional advice and guidance to for-profit and non-profit organizations on creating value and delivering on business strategy through diversity, and inclusion. She is a TEDx speaker and serves on corporate boards and advisory councils globally, and has been recognized as one of the most influential female scholars and scholars of color on social media around issues of responsible business. This work as well as her research are informed by Dr. Roberson’s background in finance, having worked as a financial analyst and small business development consultant prior to obtaining her doctorate.Â
