Cinnaire CEO Serves Up Pancakes to Help Raise Over $50,000 to Support Homeless Families

Mark McDaniel Named Haven House Pancake Palooza Champion

The 2019 Haven House Pancake Palooza fundraiser was a success, raising over $50,000 to help families in need. Haven House provides emergency housing and support services for families with children. The shelter helps families who are homeless prepare for permanent housing by developing and promoting self-sufficiency, stability and financial responsibility. In addition to housing, residents receive meals, crisis counseling, assistance with goal setting and referrals to other agencies as needed. For every $1,000 donated, Haven House is able to provide housing and services to one family.

This year, Mark McDaniel joined fellow celebrity servers Matt Anderson, Christal Canfield, Curtis Hertel, Jr., Sister Pat Newhouse and Jim Patterson to compete for the coveted Pancake Champion Trophy. Each server hosts an online fundraiser to collect “tips” before the all-you-can-eat breakfast. During the event, the celebrity servers compete for tips and participate in spirited competitive events to challenge guests to donate to Haven House.

We are thrilled to announce Mark has once again brought home the trophy, personally raising over $19,000 to help homeless families. In addition to Pancake Palooza, the Cinnaire AutoLab Cycling Team hosted a fundraiser at the Lansing Brewing Company following the breakfast. The team set a goal to raise $2,000 and cycle 1,500 miles indoors. We are pleased to announce they surpassed their goal and collected over $4,000 in donations!
