Cinnaire is excited to share an important milestone in the evolution of Jumpstart Wilmington. Effective July 1, 2026, leadership and administration of the program will transition from Cinnaire to Destiny Community Development Corporation (Destiny CDC), a Wilmington-based nonprofit organization with a long-standing commitment to economic development, workforce advancement, housing initiatives, youth empowerment, and community revitalization.
This transition represents more than a change in administration, it reflects a shared vision between Cinnaire and Destiny CDC to ensure that Jumpstart Wilmington continues to be rooted in the community, guided by local leadership, and focused on creating lasting opportunities for Wilmington residents and neighborhoods. Since 2020, Cinnaire has invested in developing local real estate entrepreneurs, strengthening neighborhoods, and fostering economic growth through Jumpstart Wilmington. Destiny CDC’s mission to build stronger communities, expand economic opportunity, and empower individuals toward self-sufficiency aligns naturally with these goals, making the organization well-positioned to lead the program’s next phase of growth and impact.
What This Means for the Jumpstart Wilmington Program:
- Jumpstart Wilmington’s mission remains unchanged. The program will continue to develop local real estate developers, support neighborhood revitalization, and promote equitable community investment throughout Wilmington.
- Under Destiny CDC’s leadership, participants will continue to benefit from the program’s proven training curriculum, mentorship opportunities, and developer support network.
- Ongoing Kickstart sessions, alumni engagement activities, and networking opportunities will continue to foster collaboration and growth among emerging and experienced developers.
- Programming is expected to resume in Fall 2026. Additional information regarding applications, program dates, and participation opportunities will be shared in the coming months.
- The mentors, advisors, alumni, community partners, and supporters who have contributed to Jumpstart Wilmington’s success will remain an integral part of the program’s future.
- Cinnaire will continue to support Jumpstart Wilmington through mentorship, guest speakers, technical expertise, and alumni engagement, ensuring continuity and continued collaboration during and beyond the transition.
