Pancake Palooza – Serving up a Virtual Good Time to Help Homeless Families in Need

Cinnaire CEO Mark McDaniel Competes to Support Homeless Families at Haven House

The 2021 Haven House Pancake Palooza is coming up on Saturday, February 20th, from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. The event is going virtual this year but still promises to be a a fun-filled, high-energy event that the whole family can enjoy!

Haven House provides emergency housing and support services for families with children. The shelter helps families who are homeless prepare for permanent housing by developing and promoting self-sufficiency, stability, and financial responsibility. In addition to housing, residents receive meals, crisis counseling, assistance with goal setting and referrals to other agencies as needed. The work they do is more important than ever due to the challenges during the current pandemic. For every $1,000 donated, Haven House is able to provide housing and services to one family. The mission of Haven House is one our team is passionate about and supports our unwavering belief that all people deserve the opportunities provided by living in healthy communities.

This year, Mark joins fellow star servers Jeff Monroe, Terry Stevens, Jim Patterson, Jeff Smith and his longtime rival Sister Pat Newhouse for a friendly competition to see who can raise the most money for Haven House and earn the coveted Pancake Palooza Champion trophy. When you donate or purchase tickets to the event, you will be invited to stop by one of our distribution locations to pick up a box of Michigan made Jiffy Pancake mix and some syrup. That way, even though the star servers can’t serve you breakfast, you can still enjoy pancakes from the comfort of your home while you join us for the virtual breakfast featuring silly games, challenges and the opportunity to see the star servers get pied in the face!

To join us in supporting Haven House, click here to contribute to Mark’s efforts by leaving him a tip or purchase tickets to the breakfast on February 20th. All funds raised during Pancake Palooza will directly support families in the Lansing region, providing a safe space to call home, meals, support services and more.
