Request for Proposals

Cinnaire Solutions and Woodbridge Neighborhood Development invite qualified development teams to submit proposals for the redevelopment of Block A North, a prominent vacant land opportunity in Detroit’s historic Woodbridge neighborhood. This site represents one of the first phases of a larger community-driven vision encompassing the redevelopment of approximately nine acres of underutilized land near the former Hancock and Wilbur Wright school properties.

The offering includes 10 parcels totaling approximately 1.16 acres along West Grand River Avenue and Vermont Street, strategically positioned between Woodbridge and Core City and within close proximity to Corktown, Midtown, Downtown Detroit, and the Ford Corktown Campus. The site is well-served by transit, bicycle infrastructure, and surrounding neighborhood amenities, making it an exceptional location for innovative urban development.

WND—a community-based nonprofit that has served the neighborhood since 2002—and Cinnaire Solutions are seeking proposals for a mixed-use, mixed-income development that reflects the community’s vision for accessible, attainable, sustainable, and flexible housing and commercial space.

Proposals should demonstrate strong development experience, financial feasibility, meaningful community engagement, and a commitment to affordability, local hiring, and inclusive growth. Teams with experience delivering high-quality residential and mixed-use projects are strongly encouraged to apply.
