La Joya Gardens
Detroit, Michigan
Southwest Detroit is a vibrant community rich in history and culture that has not seen larger-scale development in decades. Designed with this in mind, La Joya Gardens will activate an entire vacant block in Southwest Detroit along Vernor Highway to help fill in missing retail activity and offer more affordable housing options to the community. This development was made possible by collaborating with our partner, Southwest Detroit Business Association, along with funding provided by MSHDA, the City of Detroit, Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis, Invest Detroit, and Detroit Economic Growth Corporation.
La Joya Gardens is a $23.9 MM, four-story, mixed-use, mixed-income development offering 53 residential units and 6,000 SF of commercial space.
