Analyst, CDFI Grant Funding

Job Summary: The Analyst, CDFI Grant Funding is responsible for assisting Cinnaire’s Public Funding team in securing and deploying grant funding. The role supports grant proposal development, data analysis, compliance, and reporting related to resources received as a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) and grantee.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assists in grant proposal development, including reviewing programmatic requirements, developing data sets and application materials, and entering grant applications into funders’ online systems.
  2. Assesses and tracks loans that could potentially utilize CDFI Fund grant awards as a capital source.
  3. Maintains data and supporting documentation for funded loans in pipeline; tracks loan status and progress throughout the loan and reporting life cycles with input from other internal teams.
  4. Initiates detail-oriented semi-annual compliance reporting for loan portfolio, including leading data collection, analysis, and online data entry for Capital Magnet Fund (CMF) and other grant awards from federal and state agencies.
  5. Assists with monthly cash utilization tracking for all loans utilizing grant funding, including pulling reports, analyzing loan-specific transaction data, and communicating results with Cinnaire’s Finance team.
  6. Leads coordination with Cinnaire’s Compliance team as they track affordability and occupancy for all non-Cinnaire LIHTC equity projects.
  7. Manages team’s CDFI Fund Awards Management Information System (AMIS) account and other federal and state agency website accounts.
  8. Represents Cinnaire at industry events and trainings.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Real Estate, Urban Planning, or related field of study.
  • 2 years of continuous professional work experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience working with current community development, real estate development, or affordable housing industries.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint) required.
  • Strong written communication skills and analytical ability.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and independently.

Reporting Relationship: Reports to the Director, CDFI Grant Funding

Supervisory Relationship: None

Physical Requirements: Ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time

Travel Required: 10%
