Cinnaire Celebrates Groundbreaking Ceremony for Mysa House

New Affordable Apartment Community will provide Housing and Services for Seniors in Mora, MN

Cinnaire recently joined developer D.W. Jones, Inc, Mora Mayor Jack L’Heureux, the Minnesota Equity Fund (MEF), Mora Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) and community leaders to celebrate the groundbreaking for Mysa House in Mora, MN. Mysa House is a new senior apartment community providing 24-units of affordable housing with optional congregate care services. Mysa House is designed for persons 55 years of age and over, with preference given to those 62 years of age and over. Currently, the HRA of Mora campus has a senior center, independent living without services, assisted living, and memory care across the street. Mysa House will create a full continuum of care all within one block.

Financing for Mysa House was provided by Minnesota Housing Finance Agency, Greater Minnesota Housing Fund, Cinnaire, the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines, Housing and Redevelopment Authority of Mora and the City of Mora. Additional project partners include Eastwood Senior Campus, D.W. Jones, St. Clare Living Community of Mora, Cole Group Architects, Miller Architects & Builders, and the Minnesota Housing Partnership.

Mysa House will include 20 one-bedroom, one-bathroom units, including 2 handicap accessible units; and 4 two-bedroom, one-bathroom units. The new community will be outfitted with Energy Star and water conserving appliances and light fixtures. Each individual unit will be equipped with a dishwasher, washer and dryer, and wall unit air conditioner. An on-site service director will coordinate services through Catholic Charities for Meals on Wheels, Kanabec-Pine Community Health will provide Elderly Waiver Assistance and St. Clare Living Community of Mora will be the Housing and Services Provider. Eastwood Senior Living Campus will provide weekly light housekeeping, nurse assessments, health aid, linen services, monthly aid checks and personal health assistance services for Mysa House residents.
