Katlynn Kretz joined Cinnaire in 2017 and is Vice President of Underwriting where she oversees the Underwriters, Assistant Underwriters and Equity Processors. Her leadership skills have been an integral part of advancing the knowledge and processes of the underwriting team, having served previously as Manager, Capital Raising Underwriting out of our Lansing, MI office. As Manager, she was responsible for training and developing emerging underwriting personnel as well as serving as a global resource for the organization.
Katlynn has a strong background in structuring and closing affordable real estate investments across Cinnaire’s multi-state footprint, with expertise in Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), state housing tax credits, Historic Tax Credits (HTC), and opportunity zone investments. ​She would describe herself as a firm advocate for racial equity, accessibility, and community development. She enjoys speaking about her experience in tax credit underwriting, real estate investments, and economic development.
Katlynn graduated from Michigan State University with a dual degree in Political Science (specializing in World Politics) and Economics.
