Jason Paulateer is Senior Vice President and Director of Place-Based Residential Lending and Investment at Fifth Third Bank, leading initiatives that promote economic mobility and financial wellness through affordable housing, small business growth, and workforce development.
With over 30 years of banking and community development experience, Jason has helped shape strategies that strengthen neighborhoods and expand opportunity. He guided Fifth Third’s compliance with the Community Reinvestment Act, built key community partnerships, and helped launch the Fifth Third Neighborhood Investment Program. Previously, he served as Community Development Market Manager at PNC Bank and held other leadership roles at both Fifth Third and PNC.
A dedicated community leader, Jason chairs the board of Communities First, Inc. in Flint, Michigan, and serves as Finance Director of New Life Community Church. He also serves on the boards of Cinnaire Lending, Samaritas, Develop Detroit, LifeBUILDERS, and the Luella Hannan Foundation.
In 2024, Jason was honored with the Humanitarian of the Year Award from the Black Male Educators Association and the Liberty Bell Award from the Detroit Bar Association. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a master’s degree in Finance from Grand Valley State University.
