Cinnaire Cares: Hurricane Task Force

In response to the devastation caused by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, Cinnaire has established an internal Hurricane Relief Task Force

At Cinnaire, we believe that all people deserve to live in safe, healthy, vibrant communities. Our commitment to advancing communities extends beyond providing access to capital, creative loans and investments. Our strength as an organization is fueled by our team of 100 passionate and dedicated staff that share our company’s vision to make positive, impactful changes for underserved communities and for people from all backgrounds.

The destruction caused by the recent hurricanes has created devastating situations for thousands of families throughout the U.S and beyond. In response to the critical needs facing these communities, Cinnaire staff established a company and staff funded Hurricane Relief Task Force. Working with our development partners and family members residing in Florida and Texas, the following organizations have been identified to support. The Cinnaire Hurricane Relief Task Force will continue to be engaged in the relief efforts and our team is currently exploring further means to assist in the long-term recovery in communities impacted by the hurricanes.

Haus 820, Lakeland, FL

Located in Polk County, Central Florida, Lakeland was on of the hardest hit areas of Hurricane Irma in the U.S. They experienced extensive wind and water damage. The majority of the city was without power for several weeks following the hurricane. Cinnaire partnered with Haus 820 to organize efforts to deliver meals to the residents in Polk County that were in need of food. Because the power was out for so many residents, serving food insecure families was a priority for the team. The team set a goal to feed 500 people in one week. With support from volunteers and local organizations, the group effort was successful in delivering over 4,000 meals across Polk County!

Save the Children is also providing shelters with portable cribs, strollers, and infant and toddler hygiene supplies.
