Lisa is Vice President, Cinnaire Community Connection, based in Cinnaire’s Detroit office. She leads the place-based equitable development efforts in the Detroit market, where she is on the ground working with community groups and partners to determine local needs to maximize the positive impact in Detroit communities.
Lisa is a visionary leader who previously established a community development corporation in Northwest Detroit. As Executive Director for Sinai-Grace Guild CDC, she secured funding for and implemented initiatives that supported racial equity and sustainability. Her organization invested in sustainable energy homes for low-income seniors, developed a live-where-you-work program to increase homeownership in low-income neighborhoods, and worked to improve health outcomes for seniors living in older homes. Prior to this, Lisa worked for the City of Detroit, serving as the Agency Chief Financial Officer for the Office of Departmental Financial Services and Deputy Director for the Office of Grants Management.
Lisa earned a BA in Sociology from the University of Michigan, an MA in Criminology, Law and Justice from the University of Illinois and an MA in Public Policy and Administration with a concentration in Urban Policy and Planning from Northwestern University.
