Chris Cox is Executive Vice President of Finance of Cinnaire and its subsidiary corporations. Chris has been affiliated with Cinnaire since 1995. Cinnaire has invested more than $1.5 billion in affordable housing developments in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin. He manages an annual organizational budget in excess of $7 million and investment funds that range in size from $15 to $200 million.
Throughout his time at Cinnaire, Chris has overseen the investment of more than $3.7 billion in affordable housing developments throughout Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Louisiana and Mississippi.
Previously, Chris worked for First Centrum Corporation from 1988 to 1995, a for-profit real estate development company which created and managed developments that utilized the low-income housing tax credit program. He provided feasibility analyses, operating and cash flow projections, taxable income/loss projections, debt and equity structuring, and investor return analyses.
With both employers, he served as insurance administrator for corporate and real estate partnerships. This includes evaluating the adequacy of coverage amounts and limits, annual proposal evaluation and negotiation, as well as monitoring the claim processing and payment process.
From 1986 to 1988, Chris was the Assistant Controller and Financial Analyst for The Schneider Group in Ann Arbor, MI. He was responsible for the accounting department of this real estate development, property management and design firm.
From 1982 to 1986, Chris held various positions with Hall Financial Group based in Dallas. He started out as a Staff Accountant and then became the Supervisor for Partnership Accounting. At the end of his tenure, Chris served as the Investment Manager and monitored the operations for all of the company’s apartment complexes in the Dallas region.
He earned his B.A. in Accounting from the University of Michigan.
