Letter CEO – Covid Begins

We are certainly in an interesting point in history… Never ever in my wildest dreams would I believe we would be in a pandemic that shuts everything down and has us locked up in our homes. Only the movies come up with crazy stuff like this. But here we are and it is real. I believe we have prepared well for this time of crisis. All of our lessons about planning back from 2008 to 2011 are paying off for us now.

This message will be short as everything I would have to say in this message I said in the fireside chats. I hope you found those to be helpful and gave you confidence we are on the right track to manage through this. I want to reiterate a couple of things that are key for you to know.

You all are our highest priority to make sure you are safe and taken care of. We will be forthright and open to everything that is happening and decisions that are being considered.

The next thing is that we need to shine as Cinnaire now. We have to show who we truly are and that is to be forward thinking and progressive in a helpful, caring way. We have to engage deeply with all of our partners to convey to them we care about them and that we are here to help them manage through these tough times. We all need to listen to people closely and be empathetic. It will differentiate us from the rest and show everyone we really are what we say we are.

We will continue to fine tune and react quickly to those things we can control that help all of you and our partners. What I have seen from our leadership and all of you over the last three weeks tells me we will shine. I’m so proud of all of you and your commitment to making a difference. This will be over in the not too distant future and we will be even stronger for it. Make sure you take time for yourselves and your families as we go through this. It is so important that you do that.

Here is an article from the New York Times that I have used as a leadership guide and I think all of you can benefit from in the same way because every one of you is a leader in your own right. Reading this impacted me and gave me the feeling that I can get through this period to come out stronger on the other side.

Stay Home, Stay Safe, Stay Healthy!
